Employment
Thank you for your interest in working for Western Wisconsin Cares! WWC is a local unit of government known as a long-term care district, which was created specifically to operate a managed, long-term care organization for older persons and adults with physical or developmental disabilities. We seek highly professional, motivated employees who share our vision for making WWC “a premier long-term care organization, recognized for excellence and best practices.”
WWC encourages a healthy, balanced lifestyle by offering flexible schedules and 37.5-hour weeks within a supportive working environment. Many of our employees take advantage of adjusted work schedules to take a three-day weekend every other week. Vacation and sick time accrue from date of hire, providing for maximum accommodation of new employees. From casual Fridays to potlucks to the Sunshine Club (which is always looking for a reason to celebrate), WWC strives to create an atmosphere where employees enjoy coming to work and desire to provide the highest level of public service to the members we serve.
As a public employer, WWC participates in the Wisconsin Retirement System (providing a 11 percent employer contribution) and Wisconsin Public Employers Group Health Insurance (with NO deductible), which ensures access to a large network of medical professionals.
Our generous benefit package also includes:
- Dental Insurance
- Life Insurance
- Long- and Short-Term Disability Insurance
- Section 125 Plan
- Deferred Compensation.
